Peekskill showdown!

This is an incredible accomplishment for the rookie team. Alas, the competition was tough in Peekskill, and they did not qualify for the regional championship, but they competed with enthusiasm and gracious professionalism that represented the best of FASNY. Bravo to the team members: Arthur, Esteban, Zelie, Ahmed, Alex, Arnaud, Benjamin, Guillaume, Max, Raphael, Solenn, Xawery, and Martin.

 

The Varsity SharkBots (Denis Boudaliez, Justin Gingrich, Maia Lopez) won the event and earned the team’s 2nd Inspire Award. Their showing at Peekskill allowed them to post the 3 top scores in all of NY. They are currently ranked 4th in the world among 8000 teams on overall scoring, #3 in the world on driver scoring, and #1 in the world on consistency! The team was recently featured in a YouTube video series called “Behind the Bot” that only features the best teams in the world and was voted by their peers to the position of #6 in the top 25 robots.
