Visual Arts are part of the students' mandatory curriculum from Preschool to 9th grade. In Preschool, the Visual Arts are an opportunity to work on pre-writing skills such as drawing a variety of lines, cutting, and learning about colors and shapes. As they move up through Lower School, students work in the art studios on campus exploring styles of art, famous international artists, and explore projects to develop their creativity and artistic skills.
At the Middle School, students continue to learn and refine their artistic abilities through a variety of mediums, as well as cross-curricular projects. Students can also explore their love of art further through lunchtime and afterschool clubs.
Starting in 10th Grade, it is offered as an elective. IB students in grades 11 & 12 also have the opportunity to study Visual Arts as part of their IBDP courseload. At the highest level, students in the High School are able to focus on a particular medium and showcase their work throughout the year.
Extension programs and clubs also offer opportunities for students to further develop their skills and creativity.
Our students exhibit in public galleries and win awards each year.
